Below are some questions from our guests — the answers might be useful for planning your own trip too.
Questions about our apartment
Do we need to bring our own bed linen?
Bed linen and towels are always provided for 4 people.
Is there a coffee machine?
You'll find a filter coffee machine (size 2 filters), toaster, kettle, egg cooker, microwave, stove, oven, fridge and freezer.
Is parking available?
There is a parking space directly at the house, on the gated property.
Is there a washing machine in the apartment?
No, we don't have a washing machine.
From what time can we access the apartment?
The apartment is cleaned until 3:00 pm; you can move in after that. From 11:00 am you can already pick up the key, park your car and start exploring the area.
How long can we stay in the apartment on the day of departure?
Please vacate the apartment by 11:00 am and return the keys to the office.
Is there a lift?
Unfortunately, we don't have a lift.
How far is it to the beach, to shops, etc.?
Beach access points are about 100 m from the house, both to the left and to the right. The pier is about 300 m away. Shops (Biedronka, Rossmann, Netto, ...) are about 300 m away.
How is the balance paid when picking up the keys?
You can pay the balance in euros or złoty, in cash or by debit/credit card, when you pick up the keys.
What are the office opening hours?
The office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is located two houses to the right of our apartment.
Is German spoken here?
The sunandsnow team also speaks German and English.
What is the exact address?
ul. Bohaterów Warszawy 10, 72-500 Międzyzdroje.
Is German TV available?
You can receive German channels via satellite TV.
If we can't travel due to Covid, what happens to our deposit?
Your deposit will of course be refunded in that case.
Questions about Międzyzdroje
Are restaurants and shops open outside the season too?
Most restaurants are open all year round. Many shops are also open outside the season.
Can we pay in euros?
You can pay in euros everywhere. However, it's worth exchanging euros for złoty, or withdrawing złoty from a cash machine with a debit or credit card, as you'll get a better exchange rate that way.
Can we rent bikes in town?
You can rent bicycles in the pedestrian zone.
What are your favourite restaurants?
Restaurant Port (the old sea rescue station), Restaurant & cheesecake shop Avocado, Restaurant Neptun, Restaurant Carmen, Café Melba, Blue Marine Café.
Where can we get fresh fish?
At the eastern end of Międzyzdroje you'll find the fishing village, where you can get fresh fish.
Is German spoken here too?
German is also spoken in restaurants, cafés and many shops. Menus are bilingual (Polish and German) almost everywhere.
Questions about the surrounding area
How much does the ferry to Usedom cost, and when does it run?
The ferry is free and runs around the clock. The city ferry can only be used by car (without a local number plate) between 10:00 pm and 4:00 am. As a pedestrian or cyclist, you can use the ferry at any time.
Is the Polish market in Świnoujście open on Sundays too?
The market is open every day. On Sundays until around 3:00–4:00 pm.
